Project Description
Problem
The leadership team recognized that the previous website appeared overly cartoonish and failed to convey the professionalism and technological sophistication expected of a fintech company. Its playful visual style undermined the brand’s credibility, even leading some potential clients to perceive it as a spam or untrustworthy site. A complete redesign and redevelopment were urgently needed to realign the company’s digital presence with its core values of reliability, innovation, and financial expertise.
Previous website:
Solution
I rewrote all website content, redesigned the entire visual system, and rebuilt the new company website using Framer (veloxglobal.com). During the design phase, I redefined the company’s visual identity, including updating the official logo color and establishing a comprehensive design guideline that extends beyond the website to social media, marketing materials, and internal documents. The final website features a fully responsive layout optimized for both desktop and mobile experiences. After going through compliance and leadership reviews, the new site was successfully launched in early September.
Background
Velox Clearing opened a summer position for a Digital Marketing & Design Intern, for which I applied. During the assessment stage, I received a list of written tasks, one of which asked for my comments on the company’s previous website. I presented a detailed analysis with both appreciation and improvement suggestions, supported by visuals and clear explanations. During the interview, the founder mentioned that my insights aligned closely with the leadership team’s perspective, which ultimately led to my receiving the offer. Over the three-month internship, in addition to leading the website redesign project, I also contributed to and managed several other projects.
Process
The redesign process followed a structured, step-by-step approach that covered research, strategy, design, and implementation. Starting from analyzing the previous website and competitor research, I collaborated across teams to collect information, plan content, and define the new structure. I then created wireframes, drafted all website copy, built a comprehensive design system, and developed the final website in Framer. After rounds of compliance and leadership reviews, the project was refined and successfully launched.
STEP 1 — Previous Website Analysis & Information Extraction
I analyzed the previous website and collected all existing visual and textual content, organizing them into an information architecture map that documented the full scope of information included in the site.
STEP 2 — Competitor Research & Reference Collection
I researched the websites of our main competitors and mapped out their information architectures. Together with the leadership and sales teams, we reviewed these sites to discuss effective visual and content strategies. Sections that were considered strong in visual design or narrative clarity were captured and categorized into visual and content reference libraries for later use.
STEP 3 — New Information Architecture Planning
In close collaboration with the sales team, I outlined the company’s key selling points and, informed by competitor research, drafted a new information architecture for the website. This included defining the total number of pages and the main content modules for each. After several rounds of discussion and feedback with the leadership team, the final structure was confirmed as shown below.
STEP 4 — Cross-Team Collaboration & Material Collection
I collaborated with multiple teams including Tech, Sales, Client Service, HR, and Compliance to gather information and reference materials for each page of the new website. Through interviews and follow-up communication, I organized and structured a large amount of complex content to prepare for the next content drafting phase.
STEP 5 — Wireframing & Copywriting
Based on the confirmed information architecture, I created wireframes for all pages and marked each copywriting section with coded labels (e.g., Xn.n). Using the collected materials as reference, I drafted all website copy and organized it in an Excel document, structured by page with each sheet corresponding to the wireframe codes.
The correspondence between the wireframe content codes and the Excel document is shown below.
This system was designed to make cross-team collaboration easier. Since Figma was not a common tool for everyone, I asked colleagues to refer to the wireframe image codes and locate the matching sections in the Excel file to review and comment on the draft content directly. This approach simplified communication and feedback across teams.
STEP 6 — Cross-Team Review & Compliance Review
I shared the wireframes and corresponding Excel files with each relevant team and explained how to review and comment using the reference codes. Team members added their revision suggestions directly below the related text fields in Excel. After all updates were completed, the finalized content was sent to the Compliance team for review and approval.
STEP 7 — Visual Design System
I established a new visual design system, redefining the color palette and typography guidelines to align with the updated brand direction. I also designed all UI components for the website and updated the company logo color to ensure consistency across all digital assets.

STEP 8 — Visual Assets Creation
I created custom illustrations and posters for the website, and photographed each member of the executive team. The portraits were retouched in Photoshop for lighting, color balance, and background cleanup.
STEP 9 — Framer Development
I built the website in Framer, starting with a component library, typography, and color styles. Then I structured each page layout, defined navigation logic, and set up all interactive and motion effects. Throughout the process, I continuously tested the responsive layouts across different device sizes to ensure consistency and usability.
STEP 10 — Review & Launch
The final website went through both compliance and leadership reviews. I gathered feedback through meetings with the leadership team and the compliance review session, making adjustments such as adding a detailed disclosure section and introducing an additional breakpoint for smaller mobile devices. After all revisions were completed and approved by the CEO, the new website was officially launched.
Solution
Created an 11-page responsive site optimized for all device sizes. The new design system refined the brand’s visual identity and logo color, ensuring consistency across digital and print materials. After compliance and leadership reviews, the site was launched in early September.
